What the translation reads like
- Narration is written in the plain だ / である style of Japanese novels, while dialogue moves to polite speech when the characters are polite to each other, as Mrs. Bennet is with her husband.
- Dialogue uses Japanese corner brackets 「」 instead of English quotation marks. Sometimes a comma stays in front of the closing bracket, as in 「ベネットさん、」, a small mark of the English sentence it came from.
- Western names are written in katakana and fixed by the glossary before translation starts: ベネット, ネザーフィールド・パーク and ロング夫人 are spelled the same way in every chapter.
- Now and then a rare English word survives untranslated inside the Japanese sentence. You can fix those spots in the built in editor before you export.

Questions, answered
Is the Japanese natural enough to read for pleasure?
It reads like a careful literal translation: accurate and fluent, a little closer to the English sentence order than a published literary translation. For learners that is often an advantage, because each Japanese paragraph lines up with the English above it.
Can I get furigana or romaji?
No. The translation is regular Japanese text with kanji and kana. Most reading apps can look up readings for you when you long press a word.
Will it work with Japanese reading apps?
The export is a standard ePub with horizontal text, so it opens in Apple Books, Kobo, Calibre and KOReader. The translated paragraphs are tagged as Japanese, so readers pick a Japanese font for them.
My book is not in English. Can I still translate it into Japanese?
Yes. The source can be any language the AI reads well, such as French, German or Chinese. The page is set up for English because that is what most people upload.
