Easy Book Translation, available at easybooktranslation.com, is operated by Boring Design. This policy explains how we process information when you use the service. Contact support@boringboring.design with privacy questions or requests concerning your account or data.

Account information

You can create an account using an email address and password, or sign in with Google. Supabase manages authentication and stores account information. Google sign in provides account information such as your email address and basic profile information.

We use your account information to sign you in, associate your books and settings with your account, and manage access to paid features.

Books and translations

We process the EPUB files you upload, including their text, images, covers, titles and authors. We also store extracted paragraphs, translations, glossaries, language choices, translation instructions, job progress and generated EPUB files.

These records support translation, editing, downloads and resuming work. Supabase provides database and file storage. Our translation worker runs on infrastructure managed through Zeabur.

To produce translations and glossaries, we send book text, language choices, relevant glossary entries and translation instructions to an AI service. We currently use OpenRouter, which routes requests to model providers. Those services also process the content sent in a request under their applicable terms and privacy policies.

Payments

Stripe processes payments and subscriptions. We send Stripe your account email and identifier. For individual book purchases, we also send the book identifier, title and a temporary link to its cover image for display at checkout.

Payment details are entered through Stripe checkout. Our application stores payment references, subscription status, purchased access and credit usage so that it can provide the features you purchase.

Usage information and browser storage

We use PostHog to understand how the service is used. This includes page visits, interactions with the interface and events such as uploads, checkout starts, translation starts and downloads. When you sign in, we associate analytics with your account identifier and email address.

PostHog session replay is enabled to record how users interact with the website. The current configuration records sessions, browser console logs and network request timings. It masks form inputs but does not mask other visible text or images, so book content displayed on a page may be included in recordings. Capture of network request and response headers and bodies is disabled.

Authentication and analytics use browser storage and may use cookies. Your browser controls let you clear or restrict this storage; doing so can affect sign in and other features.

Other service providers

Vercel hosts the website. Cloudflare provides domain and DNS services. Google supplies fonts used by the website and provides Google sign in. These providers receive information needed to deliver their services, including technical information associated with requests.

Our providers operate in different countries, so information may be processed outside your country.

Storage and deletion

We do not currently apply a fixed automatic deletion schedule to books and account records. You can remove a book from your library. This requests removal of its stored files and associated book records.

Removing a book does not close your account or remove separate payment or analytics records. Contact support@boringboring.design to request account or data deletion, or for help confirming that a book was removed. Copies held in provider logs, backups or separate service systems may follow different retention schedules.

Access and security

The application uses account based access controls for book records and private file storage. Download links expire after a limited time. We use these controls to restrict access, but cannot guarantee that every system or transmission is completely secure.
